We once had a client who told us about an experience with a life agent: they wanted to get life insurance with cash value, which excited the agent. When the policy was expensive, the client suggested getting insurance on the kids. Disappointed, the agent found that the solution was much more economical, with almost identical benefits of cash value growth.
In our view, the agent should be the one suggesting solutions to accomplish the goals. What’s the point of having an agent if they don’t know potential answers better than the client?
Ben Griffioen founded Hedgehog with the goal of offering avenues for clients to best accomplish their goals. In his more than 10 year career he has helped clients with multi-million dollar policies to economically carry out various goals, such as wealth transfers.
He lives in the Athens, GA area. When he’s not working with clients, he loves hanging out with his incredible wife, his four kids (three boys, one girl), going for a swim, a run, or occasionally sitting down with a good book.
